The Monkey Hide accommodates a couple comfortably; with room for a child on the sleeper couch.
The lounge area is centred around the log fireplace. It has a kitchenette and en-suite (shower) bathroom.
We are often visited by the famous forest Samango monkeys, and many birds nest here, including loeries and crowned hornbills who knock on our windows for regular snacks.
This is a somewhat rural setting, as we keep a few free range chickens as well.
This is a comfortable retreat from the hustle and bustle of town life and we aim to attract longer stay guests who seek to replenish their souls in a semi-rural setting; yet with the convenience of restaurants and a mini supermarket down the road.
Long stay accommodation rates are offered to enable our guests to choose either weekly, or monthly stays which would not be possible on a daily rate basis
Furnished with comfortable double bed with the option of sleeper couch.
A wardrobe, bedside tables and a trunk is provided for storage during longer stays.
The living area has an adaptable table for either working or having meals.
There is enough seating around the fire place to relax whilst the fire heats the entire cottage.
The kitchenette is well equipped for self-catering with a two plate gas cooker, pots, pans etc. as well as a halogen oven, toaster etc. There is a weber braai outside with a selection of tables, chairs and benches; some portable to move to sun, or shade, within your mini garden.
A nice sitting area right outside with access to the entire property to go walking around and enjoy nature.

The bathroom is equipped with a shower, basin and a loo.
Towels are provided and changed daily.
